On a windswept moor in an old haunted house in England, a lonely widower still grieves for his wife 10 years after her death. Enter Mary, a sour young orphan who's come to live with her uncle. She discovers a locked garden that's been left to grow wild and uncared for -- much like Mary herself. With the help of her friend and cousin, the little girl brings new life to both the garden and her uncle in the enchanting musical The Secret Garden, a story of hardship turned into hope, of beauty discovered in unlikely places, the power of a child's imagination and the wisdom that accompanies growing up. Written by Pulitzer winner Marsha Norman (The Color Purple) with music by Lucy Simon (Doctor Zhivago), this lush musical delivers a magical theatrical experience at Plano's Courtyard Theater.

Called a "brilliant comedy thriller" by the New York Post, the frightfully funny British whodunit Corpse! by Gerald Moon follows twin brothers (played by the same actor) who carry sibling rivalry to the extreme. One, an egocentric out-of-work actor, is plotting to kill his wealthy brother so he can assume his identity -- and ownership of his vast fortune. The twists that result as his diabolical plot goes awry prove that, as with most foolproof plans, things seldom go as they should and people are not always who they seem to be. Don't miss Corpse! when it comes to ONSTAGE in Bedford.

Hollywood's -- and now Broadway's -- King of Comedy Mel Brooks has reunited with the creative team behind his 12-time Tony-winning musical The Producers for this theatrical re-imagining of his hit comedy Young Frankenstein. Taking on the classic horror film genre with tongue firmly in cheek, the musical follows young Dr. Frankenstein as he tries to complete his grandfather's experiments to bring a corpse back to life. He's aided by the hunchbacked Igor (otherwise known as Eye-Gore), his curvaceous lab assistant, Inga, and the frightfully eccentric housekeeper Frau Blucher, who sing a number of catchy tunes like "Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and "Puttin' on the Ritz." Catch Brooks' lively creation when it comes to Allen's Community Theatre.

It was November 28th, 1942, almost a year since the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Americans were busy with the war effort and praying for their boys "over there." On this particular night Boston was alive with excitement as Boston College battled Holy Cross College on the football field. Cocoanut Grove, the popular, swank Boston nightclub was hopping with nearly 1000 diners: students fresh from the game, servicemen on a weekend pass, newlyweds celebrating the beginning of their new lives, and even a Hollywood cowboy making the rounds to promote his upcoming film. In the midst of such gaiety, who could have predicted that a split second mistake and greed could spark an inferno that would claim 492 lives, changing fire safety code forever? See the play Inferno: Fire at The Cocoanut Grove 1942 at the Core Theatre in Richardson.
